Your Bahamas Bucket List

The Bahamas is a world-renowned destination known for its vibrant reefs, sun-soaked beaches, colorful nightlife, historic townships, rum distilleries, and more. We've put together a tropical to-do list that lets you dive straight into the best of Nassau, no second-guessing needed. There is a huge variety of adventures and island escapes during your time with us—from tasting menus to ocean excursions. Here are some of the top local attractions in Nassau, Bahamas:

Swim with Pigs

Pigs can’t fly, but in the Bahamas, they can swim! Encounter nature at its most playful by booking an excursion with any of our local tour guides in Nassau, who will share the history of these smart and sweet creatures and show guests their favorite bathing spots where you will be able to paddle through the warm waters with them by your side.

You go First

The Bahamas are known for their golden beaches, but these beautiful islands are also home to some of the best and biggest water parks in the world. Enjoy river rafting on large inner tubes, death-defying slides, shark tanks, and adorable splash zones for little ones at one of our many water parks. Inquire at our front desk for brochures or personal recommendations on our favorite ones to visit.

A Passage for a Queen

Learn some of our long history while experiencing one of our most beautiful historic wonders. The Queen’s Staircase, also referred to as the 66 steps, is a beautiful tree-lined canyon cut out of solid limestone by enslaved persons in 1793 that took over 16 years to complete. It is said that it provided a direct route from Fort Fincastle to Nassau City and is now one of our most beautiful walks.

Aye Aye Captain

It wouldn’t be a visit to the Bahamas without stopping by one of our favorite museums, the Pirates of Nassau Museum. Wander through interactive exhibits that explore the history of piracy in the Caribbean, including a historically accurate replica of a pirate ship, and learn more about our islands’ history of sailing, piracy, trade, and more.

Where's the Rum?

Rum is one of the most popular alcohols in the world, and many of them are distilled right here in the Bahamas. Take a tour of a distillery and learn the history of this incredible liquid from how it has made its mark on history by following the history of its trade throughout the Americas and Europe, topped off with a complimentary rum tasting and cocktail Q&A session.
